Project duration:24 months
Eligible project cost:5.155.466,22€
PACT budget:800.044,93€
Description

Main objective: To strengthen research, technological development and innovation in the Alentejo region

PACT 2.0 consists of the expansion of the current PACT infrastructures, with the construction and equipping of 3 new buildings. The project also aims to develop and deepen innovation, entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer, preferably in four areas of activity, all of which fit into the priorities set in the areas that have enormous potential for the creation of a new paradigm of territorial-based technological development. These areas are: Aeronautics, Health Technologies, Agricultural Technologies, Industry 4.0. Thus, the business reception spaces created with this project will preferably be distributed by start-ups, national companies and companies of international reputation that operate in the previously identified areas of activity. It is intended to create the necessary conditions for medium and medium-high technology companies to emerge in the region. It is understood that this will be possible by having a greater connection between the sources of knowledge and the business fabric. Finally, another objective of this project is to ensure that in the new buildings there is a strong presence of Science, so it is the intention to host several knowledge centers and knowledge transfer laboratories.
