PACT participates in a study visit under the AERIS+ project

As Aeronautics is one of our strategic areas, on the 7th and 8th of February, PACT was present in a series of study visits carried out within the scope of the AERIS+ project and organized by the Andalucía Aerospace business cluster in collaboration with ADRAL (Alentejo Regional Development Agency) and the members of the consortium: the Chamber of Commerce of Seville, the Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies FADA-CATEC, the IDEA Agency (Agencia de Innovación y Desarrollo de Andalucía IDEA), the Universities of Seville and the University of Évora and PACT. The initiative also had the support of the Municipalities of Beja, Évora, Grândola and Ponte de Sor.
The AERIS+ project aims to improve the competitiveness of the aeronautical cluster in the Andalusia-Alentejo cross-border region, through the consolidation of a dynamic of cooperation and reinforced and permanent integration at the business and institutional level.
During these two days, the focus was on innovation activities, attracting investment and facilitating contact between potential partners. Thus, the participating companies and entrepreneurs had the opportunity to make technical visits to Beja airport and the maintenance hangar of MESA (HIFLY group), to the company LAUAK Aerostrutures (Lauak Portugal) in Grândola, to the aerodrome of Ponte de Sor and to the company TEKEVER (located in the same city, and also to the company Grupo Aernnova located in Évora. This initiative also included B2B meetings between companies in the aeronautical sector on both sides of the border, in order to enhance the creation of synergies within the cluster.
The AERIS+ project is co-financed by the Cross-Border Cooperation Program between Portugal and Spain (POCTEP).
