PACT present at the presentation of the ISCTE Living Lab, within the scope of the SYNCLUSIVE project
29 January 2024
On January 25th, and within the scope of the SYNCLUSIVE project, PACT participated in the presentation of the Living Lab Iscte – a physical space installed at AUDAX – Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the University Institute of Lisbon (Iscte) that will receive unemployed young people for training and mentoring processes in order to stimulate their inclusion in the labor market.
SYNCLUSIVE, a research and innovation project that tests and studies an innovative, comprehensive and interdisciplinary systems approach to stimulate the inclusion of vulnerable groups in the labour market, comprises the creation of 4 Living Labs – Portugal, Bulgaria, the Netherlands and Finland, which have different target audiences, with the national laboratory focusing its action on unemployed young people aged between 15 and 29 years old and at different levels of qualification.
The Portuguese laboratory includes physical spaces, as well as the creation of a digital platform (digital living lab) with the functionality of centralizing courses, workshops and other resources, and is developed by ISCTE, the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), PACT, Rede do Empresario, Câmara Municipal Lagoa and TermCerto.
This event provided the opportunity to bring together the various partners responsible for the national Living Lab, as well as other institutional partners, and facilitate the discussion about the integrated action plan to be implemented in order to enhance results. PACT will be actively responsible for the development of value-added actions for the region within the scope of the laboratory, with the perspective of also contributing to the development and retention of talent.
The program also included a visit to the new research and knowledge transfer infrastructures of the CVTT – Center for Valorization and Transfer of Technologies. This centre, co-financed by the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Regional Operational Programme, within the scope of Portugal 2020, is based on the combination of two reference areas of research at Iscte, the social sciences and humanities and digital technologies, with the aim of providing integrated solutions for the transfer of knowledge on society, organisations, companies and public administration.
