PACT CONSOLIDATES COLLABORATION WITH ASIAN PARTNERS

In January 2026, the Executive President of PACT met with the Association for Entrepreneurship and Innovation China-Macau-Portuguese-Speaking Countries, the entity that manages the 929 Challenge program, and visited several relevant institutions in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation, in Macau and Hong Kong.
At the meeting, Soumodip Sarkar explored concrete ways of working together with the local ecosystem of this region and the PACT ecosystem, in particular with the start-ups created under the xBoost acceleration program.
The Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (China) was one of the institutions visited and with which PACT discussed conditions for close and lasting collaboration.
This was also an opportunity to contact with cutting-edge robotic solutions and collect contributions to the consolidation of the laboratory’s vision that PACT is developing within the scope of the Future Lab project and which will combine robotics, modeling and data processing.
This is another decisive step towards positioning the Alentejo as a global reference innovation center.
xBoost is part of “Unlock: Unlock your game”, a set of initiatives promoted by PACT, within the scope of the eGames Lab project that is funded by the RRP and the European Next Generation EU funds.
