On November 12th, 2025 at PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park, the “Collab & Connect for Open Innovation” took place – a dynamic program that promotes open innovation and collaboration between companies, with a special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), academia, research centers, governance and society.

As part of the PACT Open Day, this cross-border event had the participation of entities from Alentejo, Central Portugal and Spanish Extremadura. The initiative aimed to share knowledge, discover synergies and form strategic alliances, as well as motivate participants to implement new open innovation strategies in their organizations.

It included a panel discussion on practices and trends in open innovation, a collaborative workshop and networking sessions, such as the Business Speed Meeting. In this activity, registrants were able to create a profile through a matchmaking platform, identifying areas of interest and allowing prior scheduling for B2B meetings. This platform allowed participants to connect before and during the event and to access it.

The “Collab & Connect for Open Innovation” took place within the framework of the DRIVEN project co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain-Portugal Programme (POCTEP) 2021-2027.
