On October 3rd, the “Manifesto of Évora” was signed between APTE – Asociación de Parques Científicas y Tecnológicos de España and TecParques – Portuguese Association of Science and Technology Parks. The agreement was signed on the third day of the XVIII Iberian Meeting of Science and Technology Parks, which took place in Évora, and was hosted by PACT.
At a time when the world is facing a profound transformation driven by artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, this strategic alliance affirms a common vision for the future of innovation ecosystems: greener, smarter, more open and more people-centric.
PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park, as an active member of TecParques, is associated with the new model of science and technology park, aligned with the new development paradigm.
The manifesto now signed defines five strategic axes for the parks of the future:
- Innovation in the genesis: fostering world-class ecosystems that integrate science, industry, talent and education.
- Green commitment: leading by example in building sustainable communities with low environmental impact.
- Applied intelligence: enhancing digitalization and the adoption of technologies such as AI to generate value and efficiency.
- Focus on people: create inclusive, collaborative, and growth-friendly environments for companies and talent.
- Openness to the world: strengthening international cooperation and the global circulation of knowledge and innovation.
In this context, PACT reaffirms its mission to promote the development of the Alentejo region and the country, positioning itself as a leader in the ongoing economic, technological and sustainable transformation.
