PACT wins international award and reinforces science as a strategic pillar

PACT started the year 2026 with an important international recognition of its contribution to the production of knowledge, this time in the science component.
The scientific article “Bricolage — a systematic review, conceptualization and research agenda”, authored by Soumodip Sarkar, Executive President, and Sara Mateus, Project Manager, was distinguished with the Best Paper Award 2024 by the international magazine Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, a leading publication in the field of entrepreneurship and regional development studies.
As part of the strategy to strengthen the science component that PACT is developing, this work results from an in-depth analysis of the concept of DIY, exploring it as a relevant method for innovation in contexts marked by scarcity of resources. Research shows how the creative mobilization of available resources can promote the generation of effective, sustainable solutions with real impact.
This award is a recognition of the scientific quality of the work developed and reinforces the role that PACT assumes as a promoter of knowledge, relevant at an international level, not only in terms of its transfer, but also in its production, actively contributing to the advancement of research in entrepreneurship and innovation.
