PACT MEETS WITH UNICORNQUEST PROJECT CONSORTIUM IN IRELAND
27/10/2025
On the 7th and 8th of October, the 6th and last Interregional Learning Event of the UnicornQuest project, which PACT leads, took place in Galway, in the West of Ireland.
The consortium was welcomed by partners WestBIC and Western Development Commission and had the participation of 10 stakeholders.
PACT was accompanied by representatives of the Alentejo 2030 Regional Program, within the scope of the participation of CCDR-A as an associated policy authority, and of Dectech Solutions and IEFP within the scope of their participation as regional stakeholders of the project.
The main result of the two-day event was the definition of public policy improvements to be worked on by each partner for their regions, within the thematic scope of fostering entrepreneurship, retaining talent, and creating new support for companies with high growth potential, so that more companies with the potential to achieve unicorn status can emerge and settle in partner regions.
The consortium also had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on the definition of monitoring systems, to learn about the impact caused by the new policies introduced in the region during the next year of the project.
At the meeting, the partners also got to know the ecosystem of the West of Ireland region, having spoken with representatives from Enterprise Ireland, Platform94, the Atlantic Technological University incubation centre, the Galway Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the BioInnovate centre of the University of Galway.
