PACT participates in Interreg Euro-MED Programme Conference as leader of the eWAsTER project

On November 19th, in Varna (Bulgaria), Soumodip Sarkar, Executive President of PACT, was proud to participate in the “Bridging the Seas” conference, organised by the Interreg Euro-MED Programme.
As the lead entity of the eWAsTER project — and the only Portuguese organization to coordinate a consortium under this Program — PACT reinforced its commitment to transforming environmental challenges into innovation opportunities.
The eWAsTER project aims to turn waste into resources and protect the Mediterranean, and as a leader, PACT is mobilizing efforts from several European entities to implement a new vision for e-waste. The consortium works to:
- Promote local and regional policies that improve e-waste management;
- Reduce the environmental impact of this waste in the areas involved;
- Promote innovative business models, based on circular economy principles.
This meeting made it possible to align strategies, share knowledge and strengthen the joint impact of partners in achieving the European Union’s priorities, and the participation of PACT demonstrates the significant role that the entity plays in building a more sustainable future in Europe.
