PACT participates in the Reparation Festival and gives testimony as leader of eWAsTER project

PACT participated in the Round Table “The Challenges of Reparation”, as part of the “Festival of Reparation”, which took place in Cuba, on November 25th.
Organized by AMCAL – Association of Municipalities of Central Alentejo, in partnership with DECO PROTESTE, the event brought together the main stakeholders in the areas of sustainability, environment, waste and circular economy to promote dialogue on the importance of repair in the transition to a more circular and sustainable economy.
As leader of the European project eWAsTER, PACT shared its experience, in terms of:
- Promoting local and regional policies for better e-waste management and reducing environmental damage
- Encouraging and supporting innovative business models based on the conversion of the electricity and electronics (E&E) sector, currently linear, into a sustainable circular model.
- Of the opportunities that are emerging for startups and innovation projects focused on repair as a service and the digitalization of this sector.
eWAsTER aims to preserve Mediterranean waters through the prevention, collection and recycling of electrical and electronic waste and is supported by Interreg Euro-MED 2021-2027 and co-financed by the European Union.
