PACT RECEIVES A VISIT FROM ADMIRAL GOUVEIA E MELO, CANDIDATE FOR THE PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC

On November 12th, PACT received with great honor the visit of Admiral Gouveia e Melo, candidate for the Presidency of the Republic.
Professor Soumodip Sarkar, Executive President, and Professor Ausenda de Cáceres Balbino, Executive Vice-President of PACT, welcomed the candidate and presented the mission, projects and impact that PACT has generated in the region — promoting synergies between academia and companies, which are based on knowledge transfer.
The meeting included a visit to several companies of PACT’s ecosystem, including N10GLED, Dectech, KPMG Portugal, CEiiA and Four Solutions, where the candidate was able to get to know some of the projects under development up close.
There was also space for dialogue on the main challenges and opportunities faced by entities dedicated to science, technology and innovation, and on the strategic role they play in creating value for the market and for the regions in which they operate.
This visit underlines the central role of PACT in the economic and technological development of Alentejo.
