Recycling Business Models

Objectives:
The main objective of the Recycling Business Models (RBM) Project is to investigate and analyze the possibility of transforming traditional science and technology parks into more sustainable areas, in order to establish the basis of ecological and technology park models, including the creation of circular maps of companies in science and technology parks.
It is intended to create a specific methodology and strategy to boost the creation of new business opportunities for SMEs and the creation of new companies, based on the revaluation of waste, equipment and its reincorporation into the life cycle of companies located in Science and Technology Parks.
Main actions:
State of the art of current parks in the field of Circular Economy, detection and analysis of cases of good practices of “Ecological and technological parks”;
Study of possible “recycling loop map” models that can be designed and used in each participating park, as well as in research on new business models in the field of circular economy;
Design of a methodology for transferring results obtained during the project to strategic actors and innovation agencies.
Results:
The RBM project presented in October 2020 important results through two Manuals:
