Clarification Session and Presentation of the Coronavirus Contingency Plan

The PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park of Évora, promoted at its facilities on Tuesday the 10th, at 5:30 pm, a Clarification Session on the Coronavirus. Although open to the community in general, the session was particularly aimed at its member companies.
The initiative had several speakers from the Nursing School of the University of Évora, Professor Felismina Mendes (Director) and Professor Manuel Lopes, as well as the representative of INTERPREV, Andreia Diogo, a company that provides services in the area of Occupational Health and Safety.
The objectives of this session were to deepen the dissemination of appropriate care and behavior, but also to prepare companies to know how to react, and thus protect their employees, in the event that they have to deal with a suspicious case. PACT, aware of its increased responsibility for integrating multiple companies, took the opportunity to present its Contingency Plan, prepared in accordance with the guidelines and recommendations of the General Directorate of Health. PACT, assuming its social dimension, is constantly attentive to all events of a global dimension and, therefore, could not ignore this theme, which is truly important for the community in general. This session was also intended to demystify this subject and answer any doubts that existed, thus contributing to the dissemination of an environment of informed responsibility, as an inducer of the most appropriate behaviors to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
PACT informs the entire community that it has already started its Contingency Plan, having already created the “isolation zone” ready to be used if necessary. On March 11, the President of PACT, Professor Soumodip Sarkar visited that same area and verified that the area met all the mandatory criteria defined by the General Directorate of Health and gave his opinion on it.
