Executive President of PACT distinguished for his contribution to academia and the regional innovation ecosystem

On December 15th, the Executive President of PACT, Professor Soumodip Sarkar, was distinguished at the Annual Meeting of IPS – Innovative Prison Systems, a research, consulting and technological development company specialized in the area of justice, which this year took place in Évora.
The recognition rewards the vision and commitment to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and digital transformation in academia, companies and the public sector, as well as the boost given to research in strategy, sustainability and economic development, and for the dynamization of regional innovation ecosystems.
In addition to his important academic career, Professor Sarkar has played a decisive role in promoting the development of the Alentejo, through the leadership of PACT. In this context, it has promoted the articulation between the main regional knowledge agents, fostering the creation of value and the strengthening of competitiveness in the fields of technology and innovation.
