PACT News

On April 30th and May 12th, the event “online COVID-19: What future?”, translated into two LiveStream debates and numerous reflections, took place on PACT’s Facebook page.

It is from these moments of learning and discussion promoted by PACT that we reiterate that the “only certainty we can have when we encounter a problem is the certainty that we have to get out of it” thus, this is the time for creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. From this “change without tests”, an increasingly competitive market awaits us, in which access to technologies and digital must be guaranteed.

Now, it is the fear that persists and that, affecting not only the return of economic activity but also social relationships, we have to overcome. Therefore, it is urgent to quickly adapt to living with this virus so that society can (re)open in confidence.

From this initiative with more than 11 thousand people reached, there is the final praise for those who have allowed us to continue on a daily basis and the wish that the crisis we are now going through contributes, in some way, to a more united, more solidary and integrated Europe!

The first session of this event was attended by AAUE – Academic Association of the University of Évora, the Academic Federation of Porto, the Academic Federation of Lisbon and FNAEESP, represented by their respective presidents. In the second session we had the presence of the Hon. Mrs. Rector of the University of Évora, Professor Luís Serra Coelho of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve and Journalist Helena Garrido. With the challenge of moderating these sessions, the Student Ombudsman and the Pro-Rector for the Support of Innovation, Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Cooperation of the University of Évora were present.
