PACT Open Day 2024: a day to celebrate National Innovation and Talent

On November 12th, PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park opened its doors to the community again with the third edition of its Open Day.
The event aimed to show the best of what is done in innovation and technology in the Alentejo, bringing together entrepreneurs, academia, governance and society, this year highlighting the “Made in Portugal” talent, with the presence of Digital Creator RicFazeres, Host Kika Cardoso and DJ Diego Miranda, who closed with a Live Show.
“In addition to strengthening relations with the community, offering knowledge, providing experiences and creating networking opportunities in the areas of technology and innovation, this Open Day wanted to celebrate the quality of national talent”, says Soumodip Sarkar, Executive President of PACT.
The event was attended by several companies and organizations and with talks and workshops focused on the themes of gaming, open innovation and circular economy, initiatives that are respectively part of the eGames Lab, DRIVEN and CircularTech projects, of which PACT is a member.
As in previous editions, there was a space reserved for demonstration stands of companies and organisations in the PACT ecosystem, as well as regional entities, such as JERÓNIMO MARTINS, TYCO ELECTRONICS, CEIIA and the AERONEXT Project, KEMET/YAGEO, ARNNOVA, and the CIRCULARTECH Project.
The PACT Open Day was also marked by the imPACTo Award, created with the aim of valuing innovative companies with an impact in the Alentejo. Awarded by PACT together with CCDR Alentejo, the distinction was delivered to CEiiA, a company in the area of aeronautics and which is part of the PACT ecosystem.
