10 October 2023

PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park has opened applications for the 2nd edition of the Open Innovation Contest, an ideas contest aimed at students at the University of Évora, which seeks the best technology-based ideas in the area of energy transition.

Students can participate individually or in groups of a maximum of 4 elements, qualifying to win prizes from 500 to 2,500 euros, in technological vouchers.

Applications can be made HERE until December 15th, with only a brief description of the idea (up to 250 words) required, which must respond to the challenges already identified:

Innovative Solutions for Positive Energy Buildings and Districts;
Energy management and storage solutions for grid flexibility; Integration of e-mobility in smart electricity grid and Urban Planning;
Citizen-oriented innovation in the co-creation of smart city solutions.
After this, the selection of the 10 best projects will take place. Then, still in December and also in January, mentoring sessions and workshops will take place, in order to support students in the development of the idea, and finally, in February, the announcement of the winners will take place.
