22/05/2026
As leader of the eWAsTER project, PACT was present at the “Circle the Med Forum”, which took place in Athens, Greece, from 19th to 21st of May.
On the second day of the event, Soumodip Sarkar, PACT’s Executive President, participated as a speaker in a round table integrated in the “MED Innovation Summit 2026”. The discussion focused on the role of innovation and collaboration in redefining value and scaling sustainable solutions for more resilient regional economies, and PACT contributed by sharing the results of initiatives and learnings acquired in terms of electrical and electronic waste management in Europe, within the scope of eWAsTER. The project partners Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities and Rethymno Municipality were also present at the session.
The “Circle the Med Forum” was a three-day international meeting, bringing together European leaders, researchers, innovators and agents of change, promoting the exchange of knowledge, networking and the appreciation of sustainable practices in different sectors of the Mediterranean region.
This participation consolidates the position of PACT as an active agent in the paradigm shift towards a more circular economy, at national and European levels.
The eWAsTER project is co-funded by the European Union, through the Interreg Euro-MED 2021–2027 Programme, and focuses on the sustainable management of electronic waste and the promotion of the circular economy in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
