PACT present at meeting of the DRIVEN project in Abrantes

On 25 February, PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park was at TAGUSVALLEY – Science and Technology Park, in Abrantes, to take part in the coordination meeting of the DRIVEN – Open Innovation Driven Economy project.
The consortium met to assess results and align actions and strategies to strengthen the culture of open innovation in EUROACE, which covers the Centre of Portugal, the Alentejo and Spanish Extremadura, boosting new opportunities and promoting cross-border collaboration.
The programme also included a visit to Tagusvalley’s facilities and units:
– O Linea, the R&D+i and agri-food business unit, geared towards emerging conservation processes and technologies on an industrial scale (scale-up). Focussed on the areas of Food, Circular Economy and Bioeconomy, the visit also offered a tasting of innovative food products developed at the unit;
– IPT, an R&D+i unit dedicated to supporting companies in the digital transition to Industry 4.0, equipped to develop new technological products, additive manufacturing and 3D printing, improving and adapting industrial products and processes, and technical and scientific consultancy;
– Code, a unit with the mission of promoting scientific literacy and digital skills among schools and companies in the region. This unit promotes projects such as T-CODE, ATÉGINA, CODE CLUB and CoderDojo, bringing knowledge and innovation to everyone.
