PACT PRESENTS WORK DEVELOPED TO BOOST CO-COORDINATION AND MONITORING OF EREI2030 AT CRIALT MEETING
28/11/2025
On November 27th, PACT was present at the Meeting of the Regional Innovation Council of Alentejo (CRIAlt), which took place at the Navy Operational Experimentation Center (CEOM), in Troia.
At the meeting, the Regional Programme Steering Committee presented the updates resulting from the reprogramming process of the Alentejo 2030 Regional Programme, which introduced significant adjustments in investment priorities, including new priority areas such as Defence, Water (water resilience), Affordable Housing and Skills for Decarbonisation.
This was followed by a status report on the work on the development of the strategy by each of the Regional Innovation Platforms – Platform for the promotion of Sustainability and Territorial Cohesion (PlaSuCT), Platform for the strengthening of Regional Production Chains (PlaCaPRe) and Platform for the promotion of the Qualification of Regional Human Resources (PlaQuaR) – , highlighting the results achieved, the critical points, the main learnings and the next steps to be implemented.
As the entity responsible for the Operational Coordination Platform, PACT presented the actions developed under the Alt.in.pacto project (Alentejo 2030), namely initiatives to support the dynamization of the governance structure of the Regional Strategy for Smart Specialization (EREI 2030), as well as the work related to the model and monitoring tool of EREI 2030.
The session ended with the intervention of Start-up Portugal, which presented its programs, support measures and initiatives, including ESNA – Europe Startup Nations Alliance, aimed at fostering sustainable entrepreneurship that contributes to the economic dynamism of the country and the European Union.
The meeting also included a visit and presentation by CEOM, the entity responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of the Infante D. Henrique Technological Free Zone (ZLT), supporting the Navy’s operational experimentation and promoting scientific and technological development in collaboration with national and international partners.
Considering the prominence of the Defence axis, the choice of CEOM to hold this meeting aimed to intensify cooperation between CRIALT and the Portuguese Navy, particularly in the scope of Research and Development (R&D), and to identify opportunities for joint projects to be developed within the scope of the Alentejo 2030 Regional Programme.
Alt.in.pacto is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Alentejo2030 Regional Program.
