PACT promotes “AlentEgdge ROADSHOW” on Intellectual Property in Higher Education Institutions in Alentejo

After the inauguration of the AlentEdge Office on May 8th, PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park, in partnership with INVENTA, promotes the “AlentEdge Roadshow: Intellectual Property” with Higher Education Institutions in the Alentejo region, on July 9th, 10th and 17th.
The sessions aim to promote a culture of innovation focused on the valorization of knowledge through the registration of intellectual property (IP), by raising awareness among the academic community, teachers and research centers of the Polytechnic Institutes of Beja, Santarém and Portalegre and the University of Évora. And also to inform about opportunities and support for protection processes, including the services provided by the AlentEdge Office which, in partnership with the specialized company INVENTA, include comprehensive support in the exploitation of IP rights at competitive prices.

The sessions will feature the interventions of Margarida Santos, project manager at PACT, Luís Caixinhas, Official Intellectual Property Agent at INVENTA, Tiago Teotónio Pereira, member of the Alentejo 2030 Regional Program and representatives of the respective Higher Institution namely: Paulo Quaresma, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation and Internationalization at the session of the University of Évora, João Samartinho, Pro-President for the Area of Internationalization and Cooperation at the session of the Polytechnic of Santarém, Valentim Realinho, Deputy Director of the School of Technology, Management and Design of the Polytechnic of Portalegre, and Maria de Fátima Nunes de Carvalho, President of the Polytechnic of Beja.
The AlentEdge Office is an initiative that arises from the commitment of PACT as the leader of the Regional Technology Transfer System (SRTT) and in partnership with the Alentejo Regional Coordination and Development Commission, co-responsible for the operational coordination of the implementation of the Alentejo Regional Smart Specialization Strategy (PR Alentejo 2030).
