PACT PROMOTES EVENT ON YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY IN ALENTEJO

On December 2nd, the event “Youth Unemployment in Alentejo” discussed challenges to youth employability and put the topic of professional qualification on the table, bringing together young people, the unemployed, employers, academics and decision-makers.
The diversified program included moments of debate, sharing of good practices, training and networking, and featured figures of regional importance.
The panel of the round table moment was composed of: Carlos Pinto de Sá, President of the Municipality of Évora, Arnaldo Frade, Alentejo Regional Delegate of the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training, Rui Pedro Duarte Espada, President of the Business Center of the Évora Region, and Carlos Sezões, Managing Partner of Darefy – Leadership & Change Builders. The moderation was in charge of Maria José Sousa, professor and researcher at ISCTE/University Institute of Lisbon.
In turn, the “CV Workshop” was promoted by Inês Maltez, Relationship Manager for Talent Attraction at TE Connectivity.
The initiative gave participants knowledge and tools in terms of employability, with immediate application in their professional lives.
Prior to the event, key partners had the opportunity to meet to discuss the next steps of the project.
This event took place within the scope of the SYNCLUSIVE project which, funded through the European Union’s HORIZON Research and Innovation Actions program, promotes the inclusion of vulnerable groups in the labor market.
