PACT promotes event to discuss youth unemployment in the region

On December 2nd, PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park promotes the event “Youth unemployment in Alentejo”, a comprehensive event that combines debate, sharing of good practices and training. Aimed at young people, the unemployed, employers, academics and decision-makers, the initiative seeks to foster dialogue and present concrete solutions to tackle the problem.

With a diverse program, which includes a roundtable with leading figures and a practical workshop dedicated to the creation of effective CVs, the agenda promises direct and immediate impact for participants.

3:30 p.m. – Reception of participants

3:40 p.m. – Welcome session

3:45 p.m. – Presentation of the Synclusive Project and its initiatives
Maria José Sousa (ISCTE) and Margarida Santos (PACT) will explore the goals and expected results of the Synclusive project, reinforcing its impact on youth and society.

16:05 – Roundtable: State of youth (un)employment
Debate on the current landscape of youth unemployment and provide a comprehensive overview of labour market needs, challenges and opportunities, trends and valued skills.

The panel is composed of:

Arnaldo Frade, Alentejo Regional Delegate of the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training
Rui Pedro Duarte Espada, President of the Business Center of the Évora Region
Carlos Sezões, Managing Partner of Darefy – Leadership & Change Builders
The moderation will be in charge of Maria José Sousa, professor and researcher at ISCTE/University Institute of Lisbon

4:50 p.m. – Dynamics: CV Workshop
The session, led by Inês Maltez, Relationship Manager for Talent Attraction at TE Connectivity, aims to share essential topics for the preparation of an effective resume, addressing the enhancement of the CV and strategies to highlight experiences and skills, as well as the customization of the resume according to different opportunities. The most common mistakes will also be discussed, and tips, including useful tools and resources, for developing a successful application will be presented.

5:30 p.m. – Coffee Break & Networking

The initiative takes place within the scope of the Synclusive project, a project that, through activities developed by four international living labs, promotes the inclusion of unemployed young people in the labor market.
