PACT receives “Roadmap of an Agenda for Tourism in the Interior”

On the last day of January, the first public session of the “Roadmap of an Agenda for Tourism in the Interior” took place at PACT, which was attended by Nuno Fazenda, Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Services, and several regional entities.

The opening of the event was made by Carlos Pinto de Sá, Mayor of Évora, Vítor Silva, President of the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo, and Nuno Fazenda, Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Service.

Then, the Round Table on the theme “Tourism in the Interior and in the Alentejo” took place, moderated by Luís Araújo, President of Turismo de Portugal I.P., with the following panel of speakers:

PO Alentejo, Tiago Teotónio Pereira – Executive Member of the Board of Directors;
University of Évora, Jaime Serra – Professor;
Torre de Palma – Wine Hotel, Luísa Rebelo Director;
SAL, José Pedro Calheiros – Founder;
Sofia Vieira – Specialist in Alentejo gastronomy.
Subsequently, there was space for debate with businessmen and living forces of the region.
Finally, the event was closed by Nuno Fazenda, Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Service.

This Roadmap aims to discuss the construction of a strategic agenda for tourism and is promoted jointly with Turismo de Portugal and the Regional Tourism Entities. The next public sessions will take place in Viseu and Peso da Régua.
