PACT sensitizes regional community to the importance of protecting innovation

On the 25th and 26th of February, PACT promoted a set of free sessions dedicated to the protection of industrial property, in partnership with INVENTA. The initiative aimed to reinforce the strategic importance of protecting innovation as a factor of competitiveness and value creation in the territory.
The sessions took place in Portalegre, at BioBIP, in Évora, at NERE, and in Beja, at NERBE, bringing together businessmen, entrepreneurs, researchers, students, technicians and the general public.
Throughout the sessions, the main instruments for the protection of industrial property were addressed in a clear and practical way, with emphasis on trademarks, patents and designs.
Participants had the opportunity to learn: the processes and procedures associated with registration and protection; the costs and benefits involved; the strategic framework for the protection of innovation in the sustainable growth of organizations.
The initiative also included a moment of questions and answers, promoting the clarification of doubts and direct dialogue with experts in the field.
With this action, PACT reinforces its commitment to boosting the Alentejo innovation ecosystem, promoting greater empowerment of regional agents to protect, value and monetize their assets.
PACT thanks the support of the partners and agents of the territory who contributed to the implementation of this initiative, underlining the importance of institutional cooperation in the construction of a more competitive, innovative Alentejo prepared for the challenges of the future.
