4 November 2024
More than 30 companies and organizations will be present at the 3rd edition of the PACT Open Day, which will take place on November 12 at the facilities of the Alentejo Science and Technology Park, in Évora. An initiative that aims to make the PACT ecosystem known to the community, in particular entrepreneurs, secondary and higher education students, as well as to show the best that is done in terms of innovation and technology in the region, with a focus on promoting “Made in Portugal” talent.
In fact, this edition of the PACT Open Day has the transversal purpose of “opening doors” to national talent, namely as an inspirational model for the new generations, as evidenced by the presence of two names with millions of followers on their respective social networks: the digital creator RicFazeres and the DJ Diego Miranda, who will close the PACT Open Day with a free entry Live Show.
In addition to these names, it should be noted among the panel of speakers of the talks and workshops program the presence of Miguel Campos and Maurício Marques, respectively Founder & General Manager of WOWSystems and Founder and CEO of Yacooba Labs, companies that are part of the eGames Lab consortium, which wants to put national talent and innovation on the map of the international video game industry and of which PACT is a member.
“With this edition of the Open Day, PACT consolidates its role as a driving agent of regional development and renews its ambition to make the Alentejo a global reference in the area of innovation, while promoting national talent in various areas of activity as an example of an entrepreneurial and transformative dynamic in our country”, argues Soumodip Sarkar, Executive President of PACT.
The event also includes talks and workshops in the areas of Open Innovation (see the program here) and Circular Economy (see the program here), which take place within the scope of PACT’s participation in the DRIVEN and CircularTech projects, respectively.
It should be recalled that the PACT ecosystem includes more than 60 companies with majority operations in Information and Communication Technologies, Services and Management, and Communication and Marketing – corresponding to about 450 highly qualified jobs and representing a turnover of around 45 million euros for the region.
