The future of cybersecurity is being built in Alentejo
In the latest print edition (August 2025) of Alentejo Ilustrado, the startup Entangled Space, based at PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park, was highlighted for its pioneering work in cybersecurity.
Based on quantum physics, the company is developing the creation and distribution of inviolable keys via satellite, capable of protecting strategic communications from governments and military institutions.
As CEO Rui Semide says: ‘We are creating a cybersecurity solution for the post-quantum world (…) Our solution is not based on mathematics, it is based on physics.’
A visionary and strategically important project that shows how, from Évora, the Alentejo region is increasingly establishing itself as a territory of science, innovation and global impact.
