The winners of the LABWARE Startup Ideas Contest are already known

The “Virtual Taster” was the big winner of the first edition of the LABWARE Startup Ideas Contest, an initiative promoted by PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park and ADRAL – Alentejo Regional Development Agency, which aimed to finance and reward technology-based projects and business ideas that responded to challenges for the urban development of the Alentejo, and that were framed in the themes of Smart Economy, Smart Mobility, Smart Environment, Smart People, Smart Living and Smart Governance.
The presentation of the projects to the jury took place on June 30 at the PACT facilities, where four projects were distinguished.
The “Virtual Fitting Room”, which took first place, was joined by “New Leaf”, in second place, “PawSavers” in third place and “Naturite” in fourth place.
The three winning projects will receive vouchers worth €2500, €2000 and €1500 for the purchase of technological equipment and a grant of €2100, awarded to the four best projects. All projects will also receive expert advice and access to technical workshops and bootcamps to help them develop their ideas.
Startup LABWARE is an innovative project, co-financed by Alentejo2020, which aims to develop a local, collaborative community, based on digital champions and shared use infrastructures that enhance technological leadership and underpin a movement of recurrent creation of new micro solutions and business creation initiatives, for an adaptive and continuous response to the challenges of city management.
