Third edition of the PACT robotics bootcamp comes to an end and leaves a question: when is the next one?

The third edition of the robotics bootcamp, promoted by PACT, sponsored by Decsis and Galhetas, came to an end on July 23rd and the balance could not be more positive. Those who participated only have one question: when is the next edition?
For five days, eleven high school students from the Alentejo region entered the world of sensors, actuators and microprocessors and had the opportunity not only to have a first contact with the themes of robotics, programming and 3D printing, but also to develop their own robotics projects.
The final pitch represented the success of combining technology with creativity. There were fans controlled by temperature sensors, cars activated by claps, water level measuring cubes and interactive recycling bins.
“The objectives of this edition were all met and the participants showed a lot of interest and enthusiasm for the area of robotics, an area that I consider is already shaping the present and that has a growing trend in the future. A good indicator for the region.”, says Tiago Mota, bootcamp trainer and Project Manager in the Aeronautics area, at PACT.
The robotics bootcamp, which had its first edition in 2019, is an initiative that is part of PACT’s social engagement strategy and aims to bring young people closer to the technological area, an area that we consider strategic for the development of the region.
